[CCF] Why we believe what we believe
Friday, January 26, 2018Hey Everyone!
I hope term is going well! As Christians, it is essential for us to know why we believe what we believe, as we shouldn't be taking anything at face value. As a result, over the next week, we will be having several events that we would like to ask you to pray for and would love to see you attend!
Missio Community Church
Sunday 1/28/18; 100 N. Hill Avenue, Pasadena
Understand the relationship between science and faith. At 8:45am, Hugh Ross, a local astrophysicist and former Caltech postdoc, is giving a talk on "Our Improbable Planet" and what makes earth unique. Then at 10am, Len will be giving a message called "Are Science and Faith Compatible?" Make sure to invite friends and keep this in prayer! See flyers attached.
Text-a-Toastie
Sunday 1/28/18, Setup: 7:30PM; Deliveries: 8-10 PM in Lloyd kitchen
Make delicious toasties (toasted sandwiches) according to requests sent to (626) 872-3719 via text message, and respond to any questions sent about God, Jesus, and Christianity upon delivery. Feel free to drop by and help however long you'd like! We'd love to see you there!
Science and Faith Examined (SAFE)
Saturday 2/3/18, 6:30-8:30 PM in Dabney Hall
What can science and faith tell us about the likelihood of finding ET? What happens if we do? We'll be hearing from a former senior optical engineer at JPL, current principal research scientist at University of Alabama. Find out more and RSVP here.
If you have any questions regarding any of these events, feel free to reach out to me or anyone in leadership at CCF! God bless and take care!
Thank You,
George Daghlian
